I’ve been experimenting lately with different textures in my paintings–from modeling paste to sand to different consistencies in acrylic mixtures, these texture mediums give me the ability to layer deeper meaning into my artwork and I’m so happy with how they’ve turned out!
When I began this painting I had intended to stick with an abstract texture style but found my method subtly blending with a modern impressionist style and realized the two pair well together!

I discovered my love for the Dutch Pour method purely by accident while scrolling through YouTube looking for acrylic painting styles. It was love at first sight!
